Helmut Schillinger received his professional education in Munich Germany. He worked in a major pre-press company, OEW now the largest media company in Southern Germany. He worked in Munich and Berlin and he worked on big labels such as, Löwenbräu, Slazenger, Hertz, Ikea, BMW, and many others to produce pre-press material for advertisement billboards and brochures.

In the Caribbean region he was a pre-press consultant and advisor for Agfa-Gevaert, a freelance photographer for the FAO in Germany, a subdivision for the UN and a freelance graphic designer in Haiti. He received his Bachelors and his Masters in California and continued to work on many projects.
